beaded dress process

the beaded dress is hand macramed and consists of over 1,000 beads. I developed the process first by using a frame loom then by attaching strings directly to a mannequin and constructing a tube of the beaded mesh around the form.

I first experimented with pearl beads (pictured right) then chose to use glass rondel beads that looked like crystals. what follows are pictures and videos detailing the process of making the dress.
